WING MEET Vol.3 - AN3 EDITION - POCIUNAI25

WING MEET - Baltic Skies, Baltic Vibes

In September 2025, a group of 14 wingsuit pilots gathered at the legendary Pociūnai drop zone in Lithuania for four days of flying that mixed challenge with stunning beauty. The weather served up a cocktail of gusty winds, blue skies, and incredible cumulus clouds, setting the stage for some truly memorable jumps.

The lineup featured flyers of all levels, from those seeking their first large formations to experienced veterans focused on big, dynamic formation wingsuiting. To ensure everyone maximized their skill development, we split into two groups: advanced and intermediate. But in true wingsuit spirit, many loads brought everyone together for big ways, allowing new members to seamlessly blend into the kind of formations you usually only dream about.

Winds, Wings, and Wide Smiles

The windy weather certainly didn't slow us down or kill the vibe. Group navigation had to be spot-on, with little room for error, as the winds were right at the limit, and we had two large groups sharing the plane on every load.

One of the highlights was the way the groups blended and rotated, swapping bases and leads, and giving everyone the chance to practice their specific goals. The only real limit was SAFETY, which was ensured not by restriction, but by clear explanations and briefings on how to keep things safe and controlled. The result was a perfect balance of structure and creativity that kept every load exciting. As formations progressed, so did the complexity of the jumps - nobody got bored.

Beyond the Skies are good VIBES

As always, the magic didn't end at break-off or landing. Evenings in Pociūnai meant catching up, sharing stories and experiences, and soaking up the relaxed atmosphere this drop zone is famous for. With good food, local flavour, and plenty of laughs, the meet was just as much about community as it was about flying. There was no rushing, no loud chaos, just a perfect rhythm of jumping, packing, video review, and getting ready for the next load. Believe it or not, Pociūnai DZ truly knows how to run a top-tier skydiving operation.

Wingsuit –  PROGRESS TO NEXT LEVEL

Flying together in Pociūnai showed once again that different suit sizes are never a barrier when the focus is on progress and teamwork. From big wingsuits like Creatures or Freaks to smaller suits like the Low-ki, everyone brought their own style and energy to the shared sky. For some pilots, staying with the group was a bigger challenge, demanding extra precision and effort on every jump. But that’s exactly where the real learning happens.

We reminded ourselves of an old saying: "The more sweat you put in during practice, the fewer problems you face in the final stage." This proved true: what felt hard at first turned into smooth, confident flying by the end of the meet. Every challenge, every dock, every small adjustment pushed us all a step higher. The result was more than just formations, it was visible progress, rock-solid teamwork, and the satisfaction of knowing that, together, we had all moved to the next level.

Bonus Adventure: Beyond the Drop Zone

The adventure didn’t stop at the drop zone. When bad weather grounded us for a day, we took the opportunity to make a trip to Vilnius to experience the iconic TV Tower. Standing on the EDGE GLASS floor, high above the city where BASE jumps have taken place, was a rush experience in itself, almost like a bonus jump for the imagination!

We also had the chance to walk through the Old City, where history and culture blend in one beautiful space, stopping to appreciate landmarks like the Adam Mickiewicz monument and the Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn. Back in Pociūnai, evenings meant relaxing with wingsuit videos in the briefing room, having a lot of laughs, and simply enjoying the relaxed camaraderie.

Final Thoughts

The September meet in Pociūnai proved once again why this Baltic drop zone is such a perfect place for wingsuiters. Challenging conditions? Sure. But with a group of motivated, supportive flyers, the result was unforgettable. Big ways, big winds, and even bigger smiles, it was everything you’d want from a wingsuit event.

Top flying. Great people. See you on the next load.

Pociūnai remains my favourite drop zone because of its atmosphere, with the AN-3 serving as the cherry on top. We are already planning to schedule the next WING MEET for 2026.
