ON ANY SUNDAY - Wingsuit Meet

ON ANY SUNDAY: A Full Day of Progress and High-Energy Flocking in DZ Warszawa

October in Central Europe can be a game of patience, waiting for fleeting weather windows to open up. When the original plans shifted, the crew didn't hesitate and headed to Chrcynno for first meetup under the ON ANY SUNDAY banner.

WSpoint launched these simple, casual event meets taking their name straight from the legendary motorcycle documentary On Any Sunday, which celebrates the passion, freedom, and sheer joy of riding. We bring that exact same spirit of freedom and adrenaline to the sky!

Ultimately, this single-day trip turned into a great day of efficient skydiving logistics and solid progression. It's all about keeping it simple.

The Evolution and Reality of Wingsuiting

Over the years, I've observed a sinusoidal approach to the wingsuit sport. There are times when there are more pilots, then periods when interest drops, or phases with high-profile hype followed by an influx of beginners.

Regardless of these cycles, true progress can only be achieved when there is a kind of challenge ahead more speed, more transitions, bigger groups, and so on.

To learn all these things and fly safely later on, pilots need to meet up like this, get out of their home dropzones, and seek advice and guidance.

Building Trust and Proving Yourself

You cannot expect things to come easily or simply. People don't want to fly with unknown people because the risk is well-known and high. This is where a small group format lets you prove yourself to the community while progressing very fast.

On Any Sunday, much like the old days, can make that happen.

The Spirit of ON ANY SUNDAY

A crisp autumn day means daylight is short, but this crew proved it's no barrier to getting lots of jumps in. Thanks to great planning and running operations with two Cessna Caravans, our turnaround was super fast.

We were back in the plane literally every single hour, keeping the energy high all day long.

High-Volume Jumping & Diverse Fleet

The group of 8 pilots got through an impressive total of 7 active jumps.

During the day, we observed some diversity in flying styles. Some pilots like to fly flocks, while others prefer to fly dynamic. Everyone flew different suits ranging from the nimble ATC, Freak, Mako up to bigger high-performance suits like the  and Creature.

This meant we had to adjust speeds make more work to fly well together as a team.

Lessons Learned for Next Time

Because of the mix in styles and setups, next time to make it work even better we will make groups a bit smaller, with dedicated focus to avoid those differences and keep the flow smooth.

Final Thoughts: ON ANY SUNDAY meetup with the right crowd...

Aside from all the jumping, the day was packed with good challenges, great debriefs, and plenty of interesting chats on the ground.

It was a perfect example of how a simple ON ANY SUNDAY meetup with the right crowd and great planes can turn a single good day into an awesome event.

Another great chapter added to the WSpoint archives, setting a high bar for the rest of the fall!
